How to Enjoy the Park
Go For a Dip
If you’re visiting the park between Memorial Day and Labor Day, you’ll want to be sure to cool off and take a dip in the Blue Hole Swimming Area. This natural swimming area is a favorite of locals and visitors alike, as was even named by USA Today as one of the 10 best swimming holes in the nation! You’ll have a blast as you float along the water on an inner tube or as you take the leap and fly off the rope swing.
Before you plan your trip to go swimming, be aware that reservations are required for the swimming area. You can explore the rest of the park’s attractions, though without a reservation.
Pack a Picnic
Make memories with your loved ones and pack a delicious picnic to enjoy at Blue Hole Regional Park. To make the most out of your picnic, feel free to bring coolers with ice, foldup chairs, and pop-up shade tents (must be 12’x12’ or smaller). BBQ grills are located throughout the park for your use, so don’t forget to bring some burgers to cook up! For your convenience, picnic tables are located throughout the park and are first-come, first-served. If you have a large party and would like to reserve a picnic table, you can add a table at the end of your booking through the reservation system.
Enjoy Outdoor Activities
This outstanding park features many other attractions besides its swimming hole. For instance, the park contains over 4.5 miles of trails for you to hike and explore. There’s also a basketball court and sand volleyball court for you and a group of friends to enjoy. If you have smaller children visiting with you, they’ll love the awesome playscape. Before you head to the park, be sure to check the Facebook page for exciting upcoming events, such as movie showings, family-fun nights, and guided hiking tours.
