One of our favorite Christmas attractions in Texas is the EmilyAnn Theatre Trail of Lights. This trail of lights is a walking tour that leads guests through six acres of a festive winter wonderland full of Christmas lights. After your stroll, stop by the Yule Log and roast complimentary marshmallows and sip on hot cocoa. There’s always something happening at the trail, nightly themed events include visits from Santa Claus and the Grinch, movie viewings, and petting zoos.
- There is no charge for admission, but donations are much appreciated.
- The event runs from November 30 through December 28.
Visit Santa’s Ranch
Location: New Braunfels, TX
Only a 30-minute drive from Cypress Creek Cottages.
This fun-filled, family-friendly attraction is sure to bring Christmas cheer to all. Santa’s Ranch is one of the best light displays in the state. You’ll drive through a mile of winding country roads while you gaze at views of twinkling lights and animated displays. The Austin Trail of Lights is the event of the season! It’s Austin’s most significant holiday tradition and the city’s second-largest event overall. Come to the trail to experience more than 60 lighted displays with over two million lights—impressive! Each night there is live entertainment and various local food trucks. They also have themed nights, such as their movie nights and tree lighting.
